Application Procedure:

12.1

Application forms for the titles listed in 0.31. and 0.32. are annexed hereto. Applications for these titles must be prepared on these forms and all the information required supplied together with the application.

12.2

An application for title may be submitted to the appropriate judging unit by the federation of the applicant. The national federation is responsible for the fee.

  1. Title applications received at FIDE Secretariat after the 60-day deadline shall be charged a supplement of 50 % while those arriving at the congress site shall be charged double the standard fee.
  2. Title applications received as in 12.2 (a) will be considered by the judging unit at the congress and the decisions taken will be only confirmed by the next Presidential Board meeting while these applications will be published in the meantime.
