The General Secretary aids the President in the accomplishment
of his obligations. He is especially charged with executive FIDE-matters. In
addition he performs all FIDE-tasks assigned to him according to the statutes or
by the Presidential Board, Executive Board, the General Assembly or the
President. |

The Executive Director shall be nominated by the President and
confirmed by General Assembly. (GA '95) |

The Treasurer is responsible for the financial management of
FIDE. He executes all decisions of FIDE concerning the financial management and
reports on the status of FIDE's finances every quarter to the Presidential

If the General Secretary or the Treasurer is unable to act, his
obligations are taken over by the President up to the next General Assembly. (GA

The Auditor heads the Verification Commission appointed by the
preceding General Assembly. He is authorized to examine the FIDE ledgers and to
demand information pertaining to the financial management. He may be assigned
additional financial control by the General Assembly or the President. |
